Thirty Years in the Performing Arts

A graduate of Cours Simon with First Prize, Lila Roz directed a theatrical and lyric company for 14 years. Her creations and operatic productions toured the major French opera houses (Marseille, Montpellier, Rennes, Toulon, Monaco) and festivals, including 7 years at the Avignon Festival.

A versatile performer in the operatic repertoire, trained in music hall, she continued with singing (jazz, blues, light music) and dance: ten years of modern jazz and ten years of tap. In 2003, she wrote and directed 'La chasse à l'homme', a musical show in tribute to Boris Vian, acclaimed as a 'Télérama Event'.

For five years, she worked regularly on France Culture for dramatic readings and voice acting. She notably voiced the lead role of the South African series The Queen (Canal+ International) for a decade.

She returned to sculpture in 2007. She trained in modelling, exhibited extensively in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Her work evolved from dreamlike figuration towards an abstraction of refined lines, in the tradition of Art Brut and Cycladic art.

A creative vision at once freely expressed, feminine and contemporary. Lila has never pursued accolades.

Part II·Barbizon

Galerie Roz In Winter (since 2018)

Lila Roz opened her gallery in 2018 in the painters' village of Barbizon. In nine years, nearly 600 painters, sculptors and photographers have exhibited across 120 m².

Each month, a new exhibition brings together 10 to 15 artists from France, Bulgaria, Belgium, Hungary and Italy. Lila supports each of them: private views, clearance sales, private events, artist dinners, concerts.

She has also returned to the stage in March, June, October and November 2025 with 'Plume d'ange', a show adapted from a Claude Nougaro story, which she performs and sings with sculptor Gilles Chabrerie and pianist Vincent Lafleur.

Lila never stops. More events are coming.
