TOUSSAINT

TOUSSAINT

Painter

TOUSSAINT — baptismal name of Gérard Curci — was born under the sign of Leo, in the sun of North Africa. From his earliest age, he applied himself to drawing and naturally arrived, as a self-taught artist, at painting, imbued with the colours of the south. But his primary vocation is performance. He learns the disciplines of singing, dance and theatre through musical comedies. It is, however, with Bande à Basile that he made his name: concerts in France and abroad, and numerous television appearances. Occasionally, he returns to painting. After exploring different styles, he now favours abstract art. His meeting with the association « Les Peintres du Marais » gives him the opportunity to showcase his works: exhibitions at the Blancs-Manteaux, at Notre-Dame, Place des Vosges and Faubourg Saint-Antoine. Laureate of an award of honour at the Art Show Paris exhibition, he exhibits regularly at the « Art et Miss » gallery as well as at Galerie Thuillier.
