TOUSSAINT — the baptismal name of Gérard Curci — was born under the sign of Leo, beneath the sun of North Africa. From his earliest years, he devoted himself to drawing and naturally progressed, as a self‑taught artist, to painting, imbued with the colours of the south. However, his first vocation was performance. He learned the disciplines of singing, dancing and theatre through musical comedies. It was nevertheless with the Bande à Basile that he became known: concerts throughout France and abroad, and numerous television appearances. Periodically, he returns to painting. After exploring different styles, he now favours abstraction. His meeting with the association « Les Peintres du Marais » gave him the opportunity to exhibit his works: exhibitions at the Blancs‑Manteaux, Notre‑Dame, Place des Vosges and Faubourg Saint‑Antoine. Award‑winning an honour prize at the Art Show Paris exhibition, he regularly exhibits at the gallery « Art et Miss » as well as at Galerie Thuillier.
