Anne Vignau

Anne Vignau has been painting full-time for 12 years. Her work in acrylic, executed with palette knife and brush, is not intended as a literal reproduction of reality, but rather as an attempt to elevate it through the suggestion of atmospheres in which light frequently plays the leading role. Inspired principally by the Impressionists, her artistic approach aims, beyond the poetic representation of places—whether natural or urban—at communicating the emotions and fascination she experiences in the face of the impact light can have upon forms and colours.
