Mária Bárány
Painting · Acrylic and mixed media
Bárány Mária is a Hungarian painter artist living in Crosne, France. Through her paintings, she reveals a universe where colours, forms and patterns seem to possess their own life, telling stories, evoking memories and awakening emotions. A self-taught artist, she began this journey as a natural extension of her creative explorations from childhood. What was initially simply a means of personal expression gradually became, over time, an artistic universe in constant evolution. Her vision is shaped by curiosity, the joy of discovery and the desire to create a sensory connection with the viewer. The free use of colours and textures, vibrant tonalities and the dialogue between different stylistic influences stem from instinctive expression, rather than from a strictly technical choice. Animals, imaginary creatures, floral forms and more abstract compositions frequently appear in her works. These elements compose the traces of a singular inner world, where the viewer can become an active participant in the creative experience. Her work is situated at the intersection of naïve art, contemporary expression and poetic imagination, in a quest for freedom, spontaneity and wonder.
